SMELVIS, THE TWO-SCENT SKUNK has purple and white stripes. He’s the only skunk who sprays two different scents- that stinky skunk smell when he is afraid or doesn’t like you—and the smell of sweet perfume when he feels happy and loved. He is adopted by a young family and moves in under their house. When their neighbors find out, that’s when the fun starts.
Ernest Chambers learned everything he knows about children from two handsome sons, two beautiful daughters, three brilliant grandchildren- and Dennis The Menace. He wrote the stage musical version of
“Dennis The Menace” and was Executive Producer of the feature film, starring Walter Matthau. In his spare time he even wrote a few episodes of the comic strip for Dennis’s creator, Hank Ketcham. He has had a long and successful career as Producer-Writer of many of television’s most popular series and specials including shows for stars such as Danny Kaye, Dick Van Dyke, The Smothers Brothers, Frank Sinatra, Bill Cosby, Doris Day, Carol Channing and Barry Manilow, to name a few. His body of work has received over 50 Emmy nominations. This is the first in a series of SMELVIS adventures.
